Holly Willoughby has made her comeback to ITV's 'This Morning' show after her bout with Covid-19, describing the anticipation for a negative test result as the 'worst advent calendar in the world.

' Her Covid-19 diagnosis was initially disclosed on March 13, leading to her absence from the 'Dancing On Ice' semi-final and subsequent episodes of 'This Morning.

' During her absence, her co-host Phillip Schofield took over, joined by Josie Gibson and Alison Hammond.

Upon her return, Willoughby expressed her joy, feeling as though she had been away for an extended period and had spent much time watching the audience.

She recounted experiencing two days of severe symptoms, confined to bed with headaches, followed by milder cold-like symptoms.

The most challenging part was the daily wait for a negative test result.

Reflecting on the two years since the first lockdown in 2020, Willoughby remarked on the disbelief she would have felt if someone had told her then that the situation would last two years.

She warmly acknowledged her co-host Schofield, saying the wait to reunite was worthwhile, and they shared an embrace.

Schofield had previously hosted the 'Dancing On Ice' semi-final solo due to Willoughby's positive Covid test, but they were set to reunite for the final.
